Hello,
This is a photo of a ladder truck that I took at a recent call.
A friend of mine who is a well known photographer in my area had recently did a photo with a ladder truck from his department. Here is the link to his website/photoblog;

I had really liked the post processing he did with those photos and decided to challenge myself to see If I could come close to doing it...
Hope you guys like it..

He Woody, was this a HDR or tonemapped photo? It is very cool. The second one looks like a differnt photo altogther because the back of the truck is out of focus, and in the top one it is in focus. Is this the same photo? I like the colors in it.

Lensbaby,
Not really sure what happened there. I looked at the first one again and I am not sure why that turned out the way it did. The look I was going for was in the second photo.
If you clicked on the link that I posted, the look I was trying to go for was the second photo.
The photo is not HDR, just about an hours worth of photoshop.
And dumb question, what is tonemapped?? never heard that term before..
Thanks for the feedback and compliment, I appreciate it...

I like this photo. The first one that is. The colors are bold and yes it does have a hint of HDR. I think the composition could be better if you cropped out what ever is creeping into the photo on the far right side. Or better yet just clone stamping it out. Nice shot.

Joseph,
Thanks for the feedback. I have tried clone stamping in the past and have not quite figured it out yet, but I am still trying to practice with it..

Here is a link to tell you a little bit about it.

I am one that loves tonemapping/HDR look (for appropriate photos of course)
The clone tool is very simple to use. Go to youtube and see if you can find a video tutorial.

Debbie and Laura,
Thanks for the compliments. I appreciate it.
Debbie, The truck was parked on an angle and I was kneeling down when I took the photo, that may be why it appears the way it does..
