Thought I'd come in and say "Hi!" Been on a couple other sites for a while; one decided that it didn't really need members who couldn't afford their fees, the other's getting a bit sleepy, so I figured I'd check out a new forum. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

ps - what are the recommended dimensions for uploading here? I see a few that are 750pix on the long side - is that the best? Thanks!

Welcome to the group, Steve. We are a small group but enjoy each other a lot. I'm off more than on during the warmer months. I'm not sure I can answer your question either. I know there is a size limit on all attachments but not real sure what it is at the moment. I think you can go bigger by linking your image to another site, such as Flickr. I'm thinking, and I can be corrected, that if you put your image in the gallery on this site, that you can add a bigger file then too.

Hope you enjoy our little home.

There are no restrictions perse, however there is courtesy for our members that are not on high speed internet or do not have 26" monitors.

The general rule is to not embed pictures larger than 400 pixels on the long side in a post, but if you do an attachment, up to 800 pixels is ok becuase they can close that window if it takes longer than their conditions permit.

I limit myself to pics no larger than 550 pixels or less on the long side. I have a flickr pro account and it resizes things for me so to post a link is easy.

We also limit ourselves to 1-2 picture per post, this is important especially when we want to receive CC.
