I took this last night at a small truck show in town.
I know the fence was in the way but I couldn't get higher up in the stands. I believe I had the camera setting wrong as well.

I don't see anything wrong with this....you have the truck clear and the motion working great. We can't always stage our photos to our liking...you might try cloning the fence out but I don't think it distracts that much.

Great example of panning... and your camera was not set all that far off, perhaps a little underexposed, but that is easily fixable in post processing.

Yes I agree with the others. Your photo was not that far off as far as settings go,and you can adjust that. Also, I would try to clone out the fence, because that bar pulls my eye straight to that. It is a very good motion photo.

Thanks for the kind words, and I don't think I can clone stuff in Picasa but will research that option. Thanks again

wow, nice panning! I think that's a fantastic photo. the color really pop and the fence isn't too distracting.

This really goes to show you that no two people will see same the same object in the same way. My eye is pulled straight to the railing on the fence and away from the subject. That does not mean that it will do that to everybody. Photography is so subjective.

I am only new to Proud. I love this photo. To me it shows the motion... "speed" of the vehicle.
Fences are always there in this kind of sport; I do not think it detracts from the shot at all.
