bwpics mentioned in the critique thread that this shot might be worth for editing practice, and I'm in agreement, so feel free to have at it!
I'm attaching a 1200pixel wide version in color, to allow for flexibility with cropping and adjusting your own b&w tones (if you choose to go b&w). This is pretty minimally processed from the RAW - no levels, curves, or anything.

Here's my version. I used Elements and know just enough to get by. I played with the shadows/highlights a bit, converted to B&W and sharpened.

Increased contrast
Added mist
Sepia
Adjusted opacities and applied overlay blend mode to all of the above.
