My take on Lesson 4

When you are playing with DOFs that are this shallow, you have to balance it out so that your main looks as clear as possible.

You definitely understand the lesson, but what I would do is turn the P&S camera so that it is flatter and doesn't start to blur out on the right side vs the left. I would also press the cord a little closer.

That is one solution... another would be to place the rear camera back an extra 6-12 inches, get closer to your P&S camera and take the aperture from F/3.5 to something between F/4.5 or so. This makes your entire front camera in focus and blurs the rear one a little more.
