Trying to find a Thread re 16bit.

Recently I came across a thread regarding 16bit as opposed to 8bit but now can't locate same on the forum. Anyone know where it is or how I can search for it.

Found what I was looking for. It's in " whats the best way to save a file in photoshop".

If you want to save in 16 bits you can use a psd file format, but if you want to save as a jpg to print or put in email you must convert to 8 bits.

You can use 16 bits when editing in raw

Thanks for reply re this topic. Are not the psd files very large and even larger than the raw file itself.

Yes, if you save in psd or tif the files will be bigger, especially if you save layers too. Much bigger in that case.
