I find a nice dynamic nature to the shot, and I like how it expands from bottom to top. I think you might be able to push the highlights more, but don't lose those deep darks. They give a nice forboding sense.

But I have no idea what it is:(

The picture is of sand on the beach. I then flipped the photo to make it more of an illusion. I highlighted the Hec out of it to get more texture.

I attempted to get an angle that would perhaps suggest a round surface or elongated surface.
