I haven't quite been brave enough to shoot purely in RAW, so i use the RAW+JPeg option on my D40X, which is great because I get to view my pics as Jpegs but have the option to edit the RAW set.
However the last few times I have been out shooting, both sets of images have saved as JPegs! If I switch to just RAW, they save as RAW! So why isn't my RAW+Jpeg option working anymore? I always has before!
I'm confused :confused::confused::confused:

Don't have Nikon, but interested. When you download them to your computer, is there two jpg files of the same image? And if so, that are they named?

Found this for you. It's not the same Nikon, this is a D90 I think, but talks about the exact same problem you're having.

Yeah there are two jpegs, they are named similar, eg the first one is called DSC_0001 and the second copy (which is usually RAW) is called DSC_0001(3), etc.
Thanks for finding that link on Flickr, I don't think I have recently changed any settings on my camera that the talk about, but will go and check. Plus I haven't changed the way I am transering the images either.
Thanks for the help Joseph
