The three that I've used and recommend are
http://www.adorama.com/
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
http://www.17photo.com/
I've had very good luck with all three. I really like 17th Street photo, but they don't have near the selection and inventory of the other two.

I've spent thousands of dollars at sigma4less.com, good prices, service and are reliable.

I buy from Amazon (http://amazon.com) a lot. They often have excellent prices and with my prime account I can get an item next day for very little shipping which is my sanity saver living in the middle of nowhere. I have also been a happy customer of Adorama (http://www.adorama.com/).
i second Terry. Amazon are great with delivery. A couple of problems i had with lenses were sorted out straight away through their customer services dept. In fact i received a replacement lens before i had chance to return the original on one occasion. Now thats service. Prices are pretty keen as well.

I have bought items from both Adorama and B&H Photo. Prices are similar and service has been good from both. One thing I have noticed is that B&H seems to have quite a few items with free shipping. Every little bit helps.

Be careful about Amazon.com. They are not always where you are buying from just because it appears there.
I remember going through a thing with them a short while ago where they had someone selling a lens there for about $500 under normal prices. I sent an alert to Amazon and it wasn't 3 minutes later that I got an email saying "thanks" and basically that others who were not so lucky had made the mistake of buying this lens from him (over and over again), and that there were steps being taken to prevent this from happening again.
Reputable places rock... but ALWAYS do your homework and be 100% sure about where you are spending your hard earned money at.
Always remember the cardinal rule... if it looks too good to be true, it very likely is.
I use Amazon as my "sanity check" location. So far I have found places with better prices, but Amazon steers me into the right direction more than anything else.
When in doubt a small resource to check out is: www.resellerratings.com
