I joined the 101 course, hammered out my first assignment, now it has been three plus days and my tutor has yet to contact me or respond to me or critique my assignment. I have sent messages with no response. What gives? Is he very busy or is it possible my tutor is on vacation or at a photo shoot with limited communication. Not a big deal, just wondering since this was my first assignment, what is the kind of normal time for contact or response from tutors?

I got a fast response from Proud Photography on this, It appears that my tutor did respond in a timely manor on my assignment. My error was that I was waiting for an email notification, or for the critique to show under messages, I might be mistaken but I could not find any visual cues that the feedback had been given from the course overview page. The best way I guess, to check on your feedback is to enter the assignment you completed periodically and scroll down to check it. Now that I'm crystal on how to check, it shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the fast response Proud Photography :)

Maybe this is a change since I did the course, but anytime there was a response to my assignments, I did receive an email telling me that there was something new for me to read from my tutor.

I just joined as well ... entered my information, etc. Uploaded assignment 1 yesterday. I guess I was waiting to hear from my tutor before beginning (I thought I had read somewhere that I would be notified within 48 hours with my tutors name, etc.) ... so after reading your post, I've gone back to my assignment and there aren't any comments yet (not surprising, it's only been about 15 hours). Do I just wait to see - continually having to check - or did you eventually get notification? I don't want to continually log in just to check IF there's something for me.

I have not received any email notification yet, Ive been advised to check my junk email because a spam filter might consider it spam. I looked and there was nothing. I don't have any problems getting any mail from PP at all. May be Ill check my profile/account settings But Im sure I entered the right email address. So yes, like you, so far I have been having to check back at the assignment every so often. Your feedback should come within 48 hrs though, I have been assured that their 48hr policy for leaving is followed strictly.

This is very true. My notification for assignment feedback always seem to go to my junk mail, thread notifications however always go to my inbox. As far as the 48 hour lag time for feedback has always been the case when I was in the course. It was exactly 2 day on every assignment.

An email notification is sent every time when a feedback is sent to a student. Unfortunately few students never receive it due to differences in their spam filter settings either on their inbox or their hosting company server on higher level. The best thing is to check after 48 hours as we always send feedbacks within two days.
