Hi there, fellow photo enthusiasts
My name is Alma, and I'm already on lesson 12 ! Just now figured out how to join the forum. Love to take pictures, especially wildlife...but I'm NOT a computer whiz...actually I struggle with everything that's not straight forward internet or e-mail ! Its a dead give-away...I'm OLD !!!!!! 50'something...!!!!!
I have a Canon XSI , lenses 17-85mm, and 70-300mm..but dreaming of a 100-400mm, and a 100mm macro, eventually a second camera body too.
Looking forward to hearing from you.....

Alma - Welcome to the group. You are not old - just well preserved, or at least that's what the younger group tells me.
I love this eagle shot - where do you hail from?

Beautiful capture
Hi Alma,
I love your photo. I am also one of the well preserved! You are no doubt far more advanced in photography than I am, as I have not done any lessons. I just love it and do the best with what I have. If you need help on the computer side, please feel free to ask me. I am not a wizz at that either, but OK.
Good luck with your lessons.

Hi again,
I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but born and raised in Switzerland.
My passion is wildlife photography, and just recently discovered bird photography, which is absolutly wonderful, rewarding and utterly frustrating ( in a good way).
I am a tour dirctor, accompanying mostly seniors on escorted tours. I travel on motorcoaches, trains, boats, floatplanes and sometimes helicopters. Though it sounds like I'm on permanent vacation...it isn't so. I DO have incredible photo op's though, and look forward to the season, starting on may 8th. Travelling through the Canadian Rockies and Vancouver's west coast, I'll be looking for new exciting photo experiences.
I'll post some of my pic's on Gallery ( if I can figure it out)
Looking forward to all replies.
Alma

Welcome aboard, Alma. What a lucky gal you are! All those photo ops! I can only imagine all the great places you get to travel. Will be looking forward to seeing some of your images of those places you get to go to. I like wildlife photography too, just can't seem to get out there to shoot. My hubby says I'm too slow to take wildlife but that doesn't stop me from trying. My biggest drawback is the fact that I can't sit still long enough! I guess my mom was right when she told me I had ants in my pants...LOL
