Since I wanted to get the maximum versatility out of my two new softboxes, I have created a bracket that holds two SB-600 flashes. That means that I can keep both flashes at the same setting and get one more stop of light or if I needed 1/2 power to reach a certain exposure level, two flashes set to 1/4 power do exactly the same, which drastically increases battery life.
To take a look at my rather poor DIY skills, I made an entry in my blog. See HERE (http://jerryphpics.blogspot.com/2009/04/double-trouble-twin-sb-600-bracket.html) to check out how it works and the 3 ways I have available to me to control the light coming from it.
