Please critique and let me know if this is a GOOD example of "leading lines". I realize it's posed, but was just trying to get an eye for it. Which pic would be the best for the LL rule? or is there even a difference?

I like the first shot. Nice example of LL, and rule of thirds. And who's on the end of that rainbow?

lol ... that's my daughter! who has been VERY patient with me and poses for more than a few of my experimental shots. She came out for a walk with me last week (after she was all ready for bed)where we discovered this bridge and I was goofing around with my camera even though she was falling asleep on her feet!!!

Try this... get the camera about 2 feet away from that railing and with the lens, follow the railing all the way down with your eye. Make sure the camera focuses either 4-5 feet in front of you or all the way at the end.
Snap... done! :)

Thks Jerry. What aperture would you use - large or small - for a leading line shot?

Whoops, a little late with this answer, but I tend to love pics that fade into a blurred background, so a larger aperture is my preference, but that is definitely not the only way to do things! :)

Thank you Jerry,
I think I'm almost done with lesson 5. I'm happy for the most part that I've learned the basics.
I appreciate your comments ... and I'm going out again this weekend to hopefully get my "LL" shot for my assignment. I will try it at all different apertures just for fun :)
