Yes that is a cute shot. Love the blond hair, very cute. Do blue eye come with him too. :)
That shot reminds me of a shot of my Daughter from a few months ago. Funny how eager they are to drive at 2. hehe

After my 2-yr gets out of Nana's truck or car, I have to readjust everything. It's amazing what they pick up on.

Hey Dan,
Not sure if the face was all the way blown out but your camera did an excellent job getting the colors! All I did was lower the bightness a little, (oh and remove the water bottle, darken the mirror some and remove the orange spot from the steering wheel).
sometimes I just can't stop lol
Have a nice day

Hi...haven't figured out how to quote someone...so my question is for Jesse... in the retouching...the water bottle disappeared wonderfully, the orange reflection on the steering wheel- being that I knew where it was my eyes went straight for it- and it has a "smudged" look, How do you avoid that?
Maybe if I had looked at your retouched pic. first before the original, I may not have noticed it!
(I purchased PSE7 last fall, and have not had a whole lot of time to dedicate to learning the program- but have tried fixing blemishes with it- for myself, notice that "smudged" look in what I retouch)
Thanks!
MJ

Jesse, I think you did a good job on your edit.
(I have also printed out your instructions from Appleby thread about the sky. I edit lots on CS2, but must learn more about Layers, Masks & Channels. I cannot seem to get them together!!

Hi Dan,
I know a little smudge was still there. I think I shouild have changed my brush mode to replace instead of normal. I have Elements 6 and Photshop 3. Sorry but Elements doesn't include the patch tool that I am aware of anyways. But there is a darken and lighten feature that comes in very handy.
Hey Kaye - I borrowed my copy of Scotts book from the library, but just looked on Amazon and they have plenty of used ones for $16. I think it's a real bargin and will buy one myself. Just that one leson in masking is worth the money spent. In his book he highly recommends "Photoshop LAB color" by Dan Margulis. Probaly worth a look see for helping with color correction and better colors.

In PSE 7, under "Guided Activities" there is a tab for "touch up scratches, blemishes, or tear marks", once in that section you have a choice to fix small blemishes or large ones. You can also choose in either the size of brush and the type...I may have answered my own question about how to avoid the "smudge" and am not selecting the correct tools??
didn't notice the water bottle till you mention it.
appreciate the kind remarks and help.
he turns one on june 11th and is a very smart little boy. he's got his uncle danny wrapped around his pinky. he loves when i take time with him and sticks to me like glue.
i emtered a pic of him when he was 2 or 3 monnths in a contest. it didn't win but was published in a book.
