I will say "Hello" here! I have been skimming through this site/forums.
I have a few questions-
How are the lessons set up when it gets into learning about the settings beyond automatic? (do the lessons give "tried and true" times to use certain settings on your camera for certain types of events and settings like for indoors/outdoors, sports, bright light, nighttime, etc.?)
Are there required equiment (beyond access to a camera)?
Does it get into using products such as Photoshop?
Now that I am writing I can not think of any other questions!
Thanks for your time!!

First, it is a course on basic photography for beginners. That means nothing concerning post processing, no photoshop (there are books out there with thousands of pages on this subject anyways). In terms of requirements, all you need to do the course is any camera with a manual mode so that you can learn to change the ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings with understanding.
The course does not tell you when to use what setting, that is impossible, kind of like asking what pedal position to use in a race. It does teach you how to use the settings, know and understand them so that you know when to use each setting go get a specific result.
The result is greater knowledge of photography and improved pictures. In some cases, GREATLY improved pictures.
This is a course that will often open your eyes and covers in lots of detail how to accomplish various results. You have access to tutors who after you do a lesson, can critique your results and help guide you. This is not just a "here read this and do that, thanks for your money"... there is a very real personal touch that makes this course one of the best on the market, and on top of that, is VERY reasonable for what you get.
To further pique your interest, know that to date, I have not read one bad comment on the course from anyone... that alone says a lot.

MJ,
I'm about 1/3 through the course ... and it is very informative. I have learned things specifically about my camera that I wasn't grasping by simply reading the manual (although, I have since reviewed the manual in many areas and it is making much more sense).
The course gets you out with your camera, trying different camera settings and learning to view pictures with the results of those settings in mind.
And it's lots of fun
Hope you join us !!
