I just joined this forum and I'm considering taking the course. I found this course by Tim cooper called "Perfect Exposure for Digital Photography- The Zone system of Metering and Shooting" located here: http://www.photoshopcafe.com/video/products/zones.htm
Has anyone here purchased this or anyone have thoughts on it? Should it be something to get in addition to the ProudPhotography course?

I bought and own that course. The Zone system was actually developed by Ansel Adams for film photography and it was later developed for digital.
When I took the course 2 years ago, it was not part of the course and the reason is very simple... the course was designed for beginners to get the basics down. The zone system is a complex but important aspect of more advanced photography. Unless you are familiar with the basics and have them down to the point that you are VERY comfortable, using this educational aid, you will be building on a wobbly foundation that is missing a lot of very important info.
Basically, if you cannot discuss with me at an advanced level ISO, aperture and shutter while at the same time walking and chew gum and not forget to breathe... you are placing the cart before the horse in this case.
Only you can know if this is the case or not.
You may also want to consider some of PhotoshopCafe's other products as well, they have some very cool stuff, but they all assume you have a lot of info down that is not included in the course... for example, in the WACOM tablet course, they assume that you have a strong level of computer basics understanding before you even begin the course. They do not discuss installation and setting up of the tablet, just how to use it... same with Photoshop... you need to have the basics down and understand Photoshop before hand as well... these are things that they just do not go in to in the courses. This is understandable, as there is always a lot of surrounding information needed before hand.
