I want to start taking portrait pictures but what lens should I buy?

I have a

18-55 and 50-200
But I really want a crisper look what lens should I look into getting.

Hi Mondo, hope I can help on your question. The answer lies in how big is your budget, there are some specialist prime lens for your purpose. A more modest choice might be the da17-70mm zoom. This would replace your 18-55 kit lens and give a good range of options . On the k10d you need to have the latest firmware installed (1.3 or later) to get full benefit(sdm) from this lens.
Can't see where you live but if in the UK you can look at the SRS website (watford) or talk to the lads there, they are extremely helpful.
