This was so funny at the time of taking this shot because the walls on this side of the Abbey are over 10 feet tall and the only way we could pull this shot off was to use out pods and using the self timer or cable release...it was pure luck to pull this off.

What ever it took was worth it all. This shot is outstanding and the b&w selection works well.

Well done!!!

manny I have to make a confession, b&w does nothing for me at all. Not that I'm an expert in photography.
But I have to say this is stunning.
Excuse my ignorance, but is this pic natural or did you do a little jiggery pokery?

Thnx again for the comments....nothing fancy was done, the star burst was caused by the small aperture F/16...

Here is the colour version...

Very well captured, nice in B&W but I think the colour version stands out more for me....

Amazing shot and admire the effort in getting it. Makes it worth while.
On first viewing of the B&W shot, I was wondering what the colour shot would have been like. Scrolling down the thread a saw the colour one, which is brilliant also. I do however prefer the B&W one. Spot on!

OMG... that is POSTER worthy!

My own 8 y/o daughter is standing here looking over my shoulder admiring the
shot! Cool... very cool.

I agree with Doug. Fantastic shot in either form. The color version is more pleasing to my eye.

Beautiful. Black and white for me. Works well with the gothic nature of the building.
