Hello Stephen, just a couple of friendly suggestions to help you out in the forums:
It's quite pointless to ask questions like "what am I doing wrong" or "why do you think they may be good". Poll simply cannot give you your answers. It only collects votes. It can only tell you how many people voted for each of the options you created. So if 100 people voted for "what am I doing wrong" option, would that tell you anything? No. You need to build your options differently.

3. Phone camera
I understand that not everyone can afford the top of the line professional DSLR but in all honesty, pretty much any cheap 5MP compact camera would give you much better results and control than your phone camera. Phone camera is simply not suitable for photography and you're missing out on plenty of photo opportunities that could have been recorded in high quality rather than fuzzy, soft, noisy and pixelated phone snaps. You can get compact cameras from around $40 - $60 and you can buy them second hand even cheaper. And that's really something most of us - if not all, can afford.

Certainly all of what Peter says is true. If your only option to capturing an image is your camera phone, then that is the best choice you have. But for quality sake, try to use a dedicated camera whenever possible. Camera phones are a second thought to the camera, so you can never expect it to produce an image as good as just about any dedicated camera.

Stephen, I think the idea of these images are great! It is to bad that they don't have the quality of a camera other than a mobile phone camera, but I think its great practice for you!
