Love these Tim, I like the silhouette, of the child with the sparkler in the last pic.

They are something I'm form Canada and tryed to take some of the fire works on July 1 you but mine to shame

Hi Tim, again excellent shots, I have never taken photos of fireworks.
I would imagine its as tricky as taking photos of birds in flight, timing is the key,
and rather than a fast shutter speed you are slowing things down.

Mark, Fireworks are tough.
Here's what I've learned after butchering many.

Good, solid tripod a must. I also used a remote shutter trigger.
Any camera shake whatsoever will result in blurring.

The best results I got were at SS of 1/2 sec. ISO 1600.
Kinda just locked the camera in at the point in the sky where most of the action was happening and trigger the shutter every few seconds.

A lot of people in the way also!! So, I got about ten good shots out
of 100+ exposures!

Very fun to try though!

Particularly like the girl silhouette. Interesting take that i have not seen before. Spot on.

The first two are AWESOME. The silouette of the girl is great too.
