Ok here goes I'm thinking of biting the bullet and starting the course, now I don't class myself as a beginner I think I have a good fundamental idea on exposure, aperture, focus dof etc that's not to say I couldn't learn more or understand in a clearer way so first of all will this course be too basic for me?

I have noticed a number of posts where students have thought that the assignments and feedback has been lacking I understand feedback is supposed to be given within 48hrs some students have stated that this time frame is not being adhered to do any members have any comments on this ?

If an assignment has been failed can this be retaken and how often ?

My main thoughts on taking this course is that it may help me to focus and get out and about with my camera more in a constructive way did anyone find this course helped them in this way.

In short will this course benefit me ????
:D

I have really enjoyed the course. You mentioned structure, and that's exactly what it has given me - a structured approach.

When I pick up a photography book I tend to jump around. The course made me go through things in an organized, logical way.

My mentor has been good with feedback. I think one time it may have taken 72 hours, but the other times he has mad ethe 48 hour turn time.

My only real complaint is that I am almost done. I have really enjoyed it.

When I took the course, it was out of curiosity, not out of a need to learn. I considered myself an advanced beginner at the time. I ended up learning a few things anyways... lol

If nothing else, it gave me a structured way to review and practice. I really enjoyed the course. One cannot help but learn from that under these circumstances.

I am on the last lesson of the course and I feel it has helped me out not just with the photo skills, but it has also encouraged me to learn the controls and features of my camera, that I probably never would have done without this. I feel confident now shooting in manual mode with my new Nikon D90.
I definitely feel it's worth it and cheaper than all the rest!
