First of all... that's an incredible shot!
Second, one day you're going to have to beat the boys away from her
with a stick with a smile and gorgeous blue eyes like that. WOW!

Owen, this is an absolutely beautiful shot - the clarity is perfect. It certainly does not need any touching up!
What lovely big blue eyes.

Beautiful shot Owen. I have to agree with MrDoug, looks like she's going to be a real heartbreaker. Very innocent and pure feel to the shot. Give it another 12/13 years!! LOL All I get is attitude with my 2 boys!

Yes, a very nice shot indeed. What a beauty Owen. I just love these shots of your kids. You can't improve it much for sure, but I had a hunch there wasn't enough shadows represented in the image. Photoshop confirmed it with no information on the left side of histogram at all. After I adjusted it, I feel it really gave the image a lot more depth, as well as contrast, and really did improve it a lot. Anyway, beautiful capture and a beautiful little charmer.

Hi Joseph thanks very much again, what adjustment did you make in photoshop did you use auto levels or some of your own adjustment, can you please post yours with mine as I have not put this through photoshop yet...

Sure I can do that Owen. I didn't save the image I adjusted so I don't have a copy of it. I manually made all the adjustments I did to it. In PS I found that using auto adjustments were hit or mis, so I don't use it. I have a regular routine I take all of my images in PS. Some need many adjustments and fixes, some need very little, but all still get taken through the process. With using RAW, I find that most if not all need sharpening as is widly known, unless it is an image that is intended to be on the softer side.
When my daughter goes down for her nap this afternoon I will rework your image as requested and post it up for you to have a look.

Here is a fast edit of what I was talking about. What I did was corrected the levels, cloned the dark blue spots on the top bridge of her nose, and cleaned up the crusty looking things on the bottom of her nose. I also added just a very small amount of contrast, and applied a very small amount of sharpening to the entire image, and a little extra to the eyes. Again, I know this isn't in the edit my image forum, but this was a request by Owen the Father and photographer of this image.
