Hi All,
Was wondering if anybody could show me how to remove the leaf from the face of the squirrel. I took this in Blue Springs State Park, Florida. I like the shot but the foliage got in the way.
I'm using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2 but are new to all the editing so I'm looking for some pointers. Any thoughts?

Well it's possible I suppose, but not easy. I believe the best way is to copy the left eye, flip it, then transform it to scale and bring it in to the right side. But I think you will find the angle will not be right to make it look believable, because he's not looking directly at you. I think your best bet would be to have another photo shoot.
Hi Arn.Basically I did what coffee said. Once I had the copy flipped horizontally and in place I reduced the opacity enough to see the fit as i scaled and rotated the eye into position. I then erased some of the edge areas of the copy with a soft edged brush for a better blend. Then it was just a matter of extending some of the whiskers on the right, via the healing brush tool in photoshop so they would appear on top of the leaf.
I'm not sure if this type of manipulation is possible with Lightroom.

Amazing edit Pat, you're a true pro!!
:)
Thanks, Denise. The difference between me and a pro would buy you a cup of coffee, and, ohhhh, maybe 49,000 other cups of coffee.
(Sorry for taking your name in vain, coffee.)

????? Sorry I'm confused!
Hi jayne. I just used photoshop.
Sorry Denise. I oft forget not all speak Clownish. What I meant was, were I a pro, I'd probably be making about $50,000.00 more at this than I currently do, which is a totally off the cuff guess and has no basis in reality. But hey, I'm a clown. (That's really me in my avatar pic).
Oh, and thanks all, for the kind comments.
