I want to register with Proud Photography but I have a important question first!!

Hi, my name is Kristy and I'm wanting sign up with Proud Photography. But I have a question. I just recently purchased a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS and I'm not familiar with the all the features it has and how it works. It would be impossible for any course to get you familiar a particular camera because there are thousands of them. What the course does is gets you familiar with how different aperture, shutter and ISO setting affect an image, amoung other things. To get familiar with your particular camera, you should read your camera manual, and learn where to find these settings and how to change them.

Because of this course I am rereading the manual and book on my camera and things are making sense...enough that I haven't had it on the automatic mode since starting! And I am very much a beginner with a LOT to learn!!

I was just asking because another photography school sent me information on there courses and they provided a starter class to teach you how to get familiar with my camera. That's why I asked, but Thanks anyway
