...from IE8. I'm just wondering if I'm going to run into any issues on this site with FF?

I already noticed one change from IE: In the post thread area there is no longer the check spelling icon in upper right of window. Instead, as I type any misspelled words get red underlined so that when you right click on that word, it gives you the correct spelling options. Kind of freaked out at first when the icon was gone but as long as there is still an option for spell check then that's OK. But was still wondering if anyone using Firefox, or admin knows any known issues with Firefox before I make the final jump. I have noticed already some issues with uploading images on other sites. It may just be I haven't gotten some setting right on the other sites for FF to work, I don't know.

There shouldn't be any issues when switching between browsers. The spelling button is gone in Firefox because it checks your spelling automatically on the fly as you type without the need to press anything. Incorrectly spelled words will be underlined in red and on the right click you'll be offered alternatives/correct spelling in a drop down menu. Spell-check can be turned on/off in the same menu.

Joseph, I switched to Firefox several years ago, back when IE was pretty unstable. I don't have any issues on the photography forums I frequent.
I really prefer Firefox because of the many add-ons that are available.

I have been a Firefox user since day one and haven't looked back.

Joseph, this message may be a little belated in replying to your original message in this Thread.

Have you actually changed to Firefox??

I did about a year or two ago, and haven't looked back since.
IE worked OK for me on XP, but now on Vista, Firefox seems to be better in my opinion. I have had no problems with Firefox.

I picked up a new laptop the other day with Windows 7 as its OS.

Firefox works every bit as well as it does on Vista. Both of my computers are run in 64 bit mode.
