i have been taking photo's for a good few years now but have only recently trying some portrait photography. i have a budget light setup which is fine, and have read many articles on camera settings, however none of them ever mention what metering mode they use. is spot, or centre weighted more accurate, although i quite like the low key effect i seem to get consistantly under exposed shot. anyone help please

thank you for that. i should have been more clear with my question. i meant if using studio flash or just off camera flash indoors. sorry
