Something happened to the "attach file" icon, it's not longer an option when posting.

Joseph, I had another member querying the same thing yesterday. But I'm not quite sure what icon you mean. Attachments are handled from below the post window by pressing the Manage Attachments button which becomes available when you switch to Advanced mode when replying to posts or creating new thread. That's how I've always done my attachments. But it's possible there was another way I'm not aware of. Can you be more specific please?

Thank you for your post Peter. Yes there must be another way, the way I usually do it. There is a paper clip icon that is no longer present near the "insert email" and "insert image" link that quickly takes you to the advanced attachment area where you can attach up to 5 images. I think you and I are are talking about the same manage attachment area, but we are getting there by different means. The paper clip icon must be a shortcut. But like I said, it is no longer there. I think it disappear some days ago when the quick links at the top of the page left also. I still don't see that either. At the same time, "mark forum read" and a few new links have their own space at the top instead of being part of a drop down menu. Thanks :)

It is back. The other changes I was talking about are back to normal as well. Was there a problem with the site, or was that some planned changes? The reason I ask is because I can certainly assimilate to the new changes. No need to change it back if it was a planned change to the layout. I just didn't know there was another way of attaching an image like you described.

No planned changes at all. From time to time the system needs refreshing as the files become larger in size, some features need to be re-set on a server side. When you mentioned the links on top lost their original functionality I knew exactly what needed to be done. Thank you!

Thank you too Peter.
Hi Peter,
I have only just read this thread. I was the one to also ask you where had the paper clip gone, but mine also reappeared a couple of days later. Thanks.
