Would be nice to meet my classmates and be able to talk to them.. What a great idea this forum. I love forums. I was actually thinking of suggesting it to you guys, but I'm just too slow! Looking forward to some meaningful discussions.

i've just spent the afternoon searching the internet for an online photography course. so far i've been most attracted to this one...basically due to the low fee for the class. anyway, i was wondering what your thought are about it...would you recommend? i've never taken any professional course, but i have a decent camera (canon digital rebel xti) and, according to others, a natural talent for photography. i've been taking photos for friends (babies, engagements, etc.) and have had a lot of encouragement to start up my own business. i definitely have interest in this, but would like to get some better instruction before i embark on anything professional (studio photography in particular). anyway, i'd appreciate any feedback you can give. i don't currently have a ton of time to invest, i'm moving within the next three weeks and also have an 8 month old son who keeps me busy, but i'd like to get started as soon as possible. thanks for your input!

Hi lincsmom and mask, nice to see you around. I was a bit sceptical when I first enroled in this course but hey, it doesn't cost an arm and leg as some other courses so I thought I just try. And let me tell you I enjoy every minute of it. Started back in July with just P&S I realized how much I was missing when I got DSLR last month. If I get time later this week or so I'll send couple of photos here too.

I read a review of this course on a Digital Photography site and they said it was totally worth the low $$ and so I signed up, on Sunday.

I had taken courses in High School and College and wanted a refresher and a semi-structured place to get practice since I know there's a lot to learn and practice makes perfect.

I've already learned a lot that I couldn't have learned in my previous classes because digital cameras weren't out there yet. I'm on the 3rd lesson and I would recommend based on that. Hopefully the rest of the course will be just as helpful.

Look forward to speaking with everyone soon.

Try the york road out of beverley, going by the racecourse, it takes you to the edge of the wolds, overlooking the vale of york, great landscapes, and at this time of year, a chance of some amazing sunsets

Hello everyone I came across this online course through a search of online photography courses. I see a couple of people on here recommend this website so I think I'll give a shot. I hope we can all share our photos and have some good critiquing with it. Ok, until then I hope I can hear from you guys. Take care everyone!

Good Morning! My name is Jennifer and I signed up for this course last night. I'm 35 years old and I'm looking to hopefully start a career in Equine photography. I fulfilled a long time dream of owning a horse 3 years ago and now I would like to combine my love for horses with photography. It has taken me a long time to figure out "what I want to do with my life" and I hope this is it :) I'm looking forward to meeting others who are taking this course. Good Luck!!!

Jennifer

hello everyone,
i hve just started the course and find it very good so far...but how long does it take for the assignments to be marked ?

I am already starting to change my attitude to photography in the way of taking short steps to get things right....slowly !!!

Loving the freezing uk(down south) weather, ready and eager for the frost images etc.
Take care,

Steve.

Hi Steve, your assignment 1 feedback has been sent to you 24 hours before you wrote this message. I sent you a PM as well.

Feedback from teachers never takes longer than 24-48 hours from your submission.

Hi everyone, my name is Bianca and I live in Australia. I enrolled in this course a few weeks ago, pretty much the same reason everyone else did, looks good value for money. I have only completed assignment one and recieved valuable feedback and pretty quickly. I have a nine week old son so am pretty busy but am really looking forward to completing more subjects. Where can we view each others photos, can we see other students albums??

Thought I would resurect an old post. (Sorry)
I was just reading through the posts again and saw there are quite a few names that have posted here but not in the rest of the forum. I just wondered how you were all getting along with the course and wanted to encoruage you to spread your wings into the rest of the fourm. We are a friendly bunch really!!!

If you have some pictures you can upload, it would be great to see them in the critique section, don't worry, we are all learning together.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.
