I really like these Jon. They really pop. Love the slow shutter effect and motion. I think your assignment will do very well. I like your site too but it seems slow to load up. And on one image it just showed black.

Thanks Joseph
I have found the site a little slow to load as well. It is built in apple's iWeb app, which I find so easy to use that I reluctant to use anything else. The way it is set up at the moment is that once I have sorted my photos in aperture into an album, I drag the album into iWeb, rename the new page that it has automatically created and click FTP upload. It is so fast and easy that it suits my workflow. However.......... the opening of the page is a little slow. I have a test page on the site where instead of web photo albums, it us simply pictures on a page. It opens faster, but it is a messier option. I'll get it right one day!

What size images are you loading on your site? I don't know too much about the whole website thing, but I know that if the images are larger than they have to be, it takes longer to load. Images for the web can be very small and still look fine.

I will check, I under the impression that the iWeb app resizes the images into a web friendly size automatically, but it is worth checking, thanks. My hunch is that it is the web album coding, as the test page seems to load ok. Just need the time to investigate it properly!

Yes of course you are right Jon. There is one thing I did notice with the PP site though. And again, I really don't know much about website creating and such but: If I upload an image here that is let's say 5 megs, it will re-seize it for viewing. If I upload the same image but re-sized to say 400k's, both image on the site will be very different sizes with the first being much larger. I'm wondering if the site doesn't re-size by percentage. Maybe Peter can comment on this. Not a big deal but I'm curious now. And also Peter if you do comment on this maybe you can tell us what the optimal image size is for uploading to PP. Thanks. Sorry though Jon, I don't mean to hijack the thread.

Jon - I found the site slow to load as well but worth the wait. The second picture of the spinning wheel is great. I wish we had something like that close here.

Hi Jon and what an excellent job with the shots, I like the fact that you didn’t shot the complete wheel in all of the shots.

Thanks for the comments Mark & Mary, and thank you for the feedback on the web site. If it is ok to load sometimes and not others, maybe I have an issue with my ISP....... Will have to investigate!

Yes. Nice shots. I like #'s 4 and 7 the best. Good use of shutter speed.
