This is my choice for the lesson. I keep thinking I'll go back and try and capture this again but move the tree in front of the sun so it doesn't blow out that spot. Maybe this week after work as its on my way home. I did use my tripod on this one.

Here is a very fast and not well done HDR.

Well, Joseph...I like how this brought out the building better but I think it lost something in the process....maybe not....not sure. I'm attaching another version (without the framing.) Maybe its the graying of that that is affecting how I see this.

I just re-read this and it doesn't make sense....hope you understand, Joseph...LOL

Anyway, this is another shot of the same building without the blown sun. I liked the sun rays in the other shot but should have blocked out the sun a bit more. We have tons of these old farm houses around here...farming took a huge hit in this area in the 80s. I drive by places like this and wonder what feelings were going through the minds of the people that built these homes. Were they excited to have a new home or just excited to have a roof over their heads.

Is your last image from the same original photo? I certainly like your version better than mine, more detail in the sky. This image really speaks to me. Well done.

No, Joseph. It was another shot. I took about a dozen different shots before the sunrise got too high to be pretty.

Shoot..I hit the submit button too quick. Thanks for the kudos on the shot. I ended up sending it in for my lesson 7...now to move on to lesson 8.

Ya I didn't think that was the same shot. Things not in the right place. But in any regard I still like your version better.

Sorry if I confused you, Joseph, but if you would look at my post I stated that it was 'another' image that I had taken that day. I didn't mean to make you think it was the same. I failed miserably with it in my assignment and will be re-doing that lesson. :(
