These were from a few weeks ago in central Minnesota. Any comments are always welcome.

Joseph, I just love them!!
What is the whitish grassy sort of plants in the first shot (if you know)?

Thank you Kaye, I do know. It was very early in the morning and this was a think layer of frost on the very low lying grasses. Thanks again.

Joseph -

I'm quite late on this - but these are great. Must have been when we had a nice day with sun.

Hi Mike, thanks. Yes I did hdr both of these. The first had some bad technical issues that were hard to get around and still isn't the best image all. I just really liked how the trees framed the icy bushes. It was more magical to look at than the images show.

Hi Deb, it was a nice morning, but windy. It was hard to get good clean images with the wind and available light, but was very pleased how the second shot turned out. This was the shoot that while I was setting up a huge bald eagle buzzed me about 10 feet above my head. Thanks Deb.

Thank you Eddie for the nice comments. This was my first real attempt at HDR where I was able to walk away with a usable image, and went on this shoot for the sole purpose of getting many exposures of the same image and combining them. As it turned out I learned a lot about HDR and what works by making many mistakes in the field where most of the images taken weren't usable for various reason. I hope to get better at this HDR thing because I love the paintery, artsy look it gives the images. Like any discipline of photography there is a learning curve to this, and I hope in the future I have more time to spend on them. Thanks again.
