I need you guys and gals help....I still haven't heard from Peter about re-submitting my images but was wondering what you all thought...would this be a better B/W image than the first one I posted or should I just throw in the towel and give it another go on something else. My colorful world just doesn't see in black and white and I don't get it.

Hi Mary. I'm assuming you changed the image from when you started the thread. I remember it, but didn't comment. For what it's worth I do like this version much better. The light post appears so much sharper, and I like the higher contrast. Things really stand out more.

Thank you, Joseph, I always value your opinions. I've did a revision on this image...cloned out the two windows toward the bottom and straightened the lamp post. Do you think it hurts the image since the courthouse is not in focus? I've attached the revised version.

Not at all. I think it is better for the overall comp to have the building OOF. Otherwide the lamp would have blended into the building and gotten lost some.

Ok...one more question....is the sky way too dark? It was a cloudless day, and I realize that active skies make for much better B/W images, but I liked the comp in B/W. Should I tone the sky down a bit?
Hi Mary. Did you delete the image?

Hi Pat...yes, I deleted it..sorry...I'm starting from scratch again. Hopefully I see some sunshine tomorrow so I can get out there and find something else.
