Photo editing software

Hi, i was wondering if anybody could recommend any free or very cheap photo editing software, i am still using film and the scans that are uploaded could realy do with some touching up as the scan quality is very poor.

Hi, Yes, Gimp is a free Open Source alternative to photoshop.
