This Building combines old and new. The original outer steel structure was erected in 1885 and was the support for a 360 degree Gasometer that stored gas for the Dublin City area.
The modern glass structure which houses 21st century apartments was completed about 5 years ago and the reflection of the sky all round can be, at times, dynamic.
I also like the reflection of the two story houses which were built around 80 years ago, its three decades of architecture combined in one image.

Hi John this is a great shot, it now has the appearance of a football stadium front than an old gasworks.
It also looks like its something you could take lots of different photos of, different angles,
times of day, times of year, colour, B/W. Yes definitely a good structure to photograph.
Hats of to the architects and engineers that came up with the idea to replace the old metal tank
in the middle with a glass one and turn them into apartments, ingenious.

Now this is an awesome building. I'm so glad they figured out how to use it and not just tear it down. So many of the old buildings are being destroyed around here. We don't have the money to rebuild them and they are too dangerous to leave standing. I'm glad this structure was saved! Nice shots and would love to see more angles of it.
