Hi everyone, i was wondering about taking pictures at a concert. i am going to a concert at a semi small building so i will be able to get up close pictures but i only have a compact camera and i am not sure about the lighting, any suggestions??

Maybe you should post this in other section of the forum. This one is "How to send photos in the forum".
I've done some concert shots and my main advice would be - NO FLASH, higher ISO. I even used a monopod which helped a lot with photos when the lights were dimmed. Just my 2 cents.

I usually use a small point and shoot at concerts. I find it hard to always get clear pictures in the low light and with people moving around a lot of my pics come out blurry. You can try also using the manual controls. Last concert I went to I think I set my camera on Aperture priority mode, and had it set at f3.5. I'm no pro, but I get pretty decent concert pix and usually end up having to send copies to my friends.

Getting yourself in a good position and having firm support for your camera are key. The low light will mean possible camera shake so the most you can do to avoid this will help.
