View Full Version : Water fun with my daughter...
I took these shots on a very hot day (around 38 to 40degC). My daughter was my "unprofessional" pool model - she was cool, but I was soooo hot!
I enjoyed this and thought the new hairstyles were original.
This is my first try at this type of shot; I was prompted to give this a go by (Jerryph) Jerry's amazing wedding shot with the bride in the water.
All critique welcome, as I know I have much room for improvement. All shots taken on zoom X 1 or 2 on my FE-370.

These are fantastic Kaye! Not that I am a judge of portraits, but I think the
compositions in all of them are wonderful, not to mention the great color you always get. Beautiful work just like one of your flowers!
Thanks so much Sandy for the kind comment.
I was still in the middle of altering my post, and when I saved it you had already replied!
I am not happy with my third shot, and would like to repost it without the green in the hair!! It was my favourite, but I do not like the way it looks in this post. Will try to repost soon.
Done - below is my third shot from my original post with less green in the hair.

I TOTALLY love "motion" photo's like you've posted here. #2 is my fav, but they're
all pretty special. I bet your daughter enjoyed these photo's too.
Thank you Doug. I also like #2 the best, although this was a good example of taking the shot too early!
Yes my daughter does enjoying posing for photos, but she is always out and about.

Great pictures, Kaye. I think my favorite is #1. I like the way you have captured the path of the water.

Thanks for your comment Joseph,
Yes, I did have fun with these. It is not often I am out with my daughter now, so took advantage of this hot day to get some fun shots.

Thanks Eddie,
In No. 1, I really did not have my camera in the correct position for the path of the water, but was lucky to just get it in. (Was on zoom for this shot).
Cropped it to help cover my mistake.
