An inkjet uses liquid ink pushed through tiny hjoles (jets).A laser uses a powdered dye and melts it onto the page. This means an inkjet page is not waterproof while a laser print is.

inkjet pinters are known as contact printers cause its basically a pen drawing on the paper and it makes contact.Laser printers use toner instead of ink and work like a xerox machine. the image is 'burned' onto the paper in a way and the spec color toner is put on top of it.
