I am 28 weeks pregnant, and would love to get some great 'studio like' maternity photos. I don't actually have a studio set up, but would love some ideas to use.
This photo I took myself on self timer so I don't love it, but am going to be getting my husband to take some shots, I just need some ideas.
But if I could have some feedback on this shot and ideas for how to do some future shots, it would be much appreciated :)

I have a few ideas. Congrats by the way. Shortly before you leave for the hospital, throw on your 2 piece swim suit and have hubby take some shots. The ones I have of my wife we still laugh at after 3 years. Sorry, can't post any of those :)
One other idea I am posting. You won't make it to Halloween, but it would still be fun for you. Maybe a basketball instead. There are many options I would think. Good luck to you.

I would vote for air brushing or painting a pot of gold with a rainbow on your stomach in honor of Saint Patrick's Day. And I agree you should take the shots and as many of them as you can. We took a lot of photos of my wife when she was pregnant with both of our girls and I still wish we had taken more.

Thanks for your feedback :)
Joseph that's a very cool picture!! I am thinking something Easter themed maybe as well? And think Eddie that your idea of the rainbow and pot of gold could look fantastic if done well!!
I am also going to try some in a style I've seen a friends - she got her other kids to 'finger paint' her tummy (meanwhile getting paint everywhere else as well) which I thought would be a nice way to involve my little daughter!!
I will be 30 weeks next week, and my husband has some days off, so I might get him to help me take some!! Then I will also take some closer to my due date.
I very much agree with the sentiment 'make sure you take as many as you can' because I didn't take very many with my last pregnancy, and even the ones I did take weren't 'nice' shots, just the self timer or in front of the mirror shots :p
I look forward to using your ideas and showing you the end results!

There are like a million ideas on flickr. What I would do is look HERE (http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=maternity&w=all) for a few ideas. ;)
Cripes, this thread just reminded me that I have a friend's new baby to shoot first week of March, I'd better put it in my calendar before I forget... lol
Thanks for the reminder! :D

As mentioned in the other thread, its just a small safety thing, nothing to worry about. I can see the pic nicely enough already.

Hi Pat, the system put your message in a moderation queue because there were just links. It's an automatic spam protection working in the forums.

Thanks for the links jerryph and Pat - off to take a look :)
Thanks Admin.
Some of the links were broken, so here is the Jennifer Loomis link again (http://www.jenniferloomis.com/portfolio1_maternity01.html) and the others were google search pages using "maternity photography' etc. as search terms.
