Use a standard Printer paper - use draft mode - it will be fast and use less ink

Right Click on your printers Icon, Select either Black & White printing only or / and select Economy Mode.Consider having a go at refilling your Ink Cartridge yourself, or local firms may offer this service, as well as recycling old cartridges, sometimes for charity

Do a search on the web for ink saver software. There is a program available that allows you the user to set your actual print usage by lowering the print quality in 10% increments. I've used it several times for big jobs and it actually saves me a little more than 25% of my ink over the course of 50-100 sheets of printing. I think the cost of the software after the trial period is between $19.95 - $29.95 which is about the cost of one cartridge for a multi-functional printer.
