Hi everyone,
I'm after a bit of cc on this photo.

Thanks for looking.
Mick.

Hey Mick. Love the light. Can't help but think the subject matter is a little ambiguous, though. I might have stepped a little more to the left so as to have more, or all, or most of the bridge visible under the tree, thus employing the tree as a frame element for the bridge. Getting the left bridge tower in focus would have been nice, too.

Thanks Pat,
Thats what I thought but just wanted to get someone else's opinion.
I also think the leading lines of the foreshore pulls your eye towards the tree to make matters worse.
I will be going back tomorrow night and try again.
There was a lot of wind on the night I took this shot so unfortunately I suffered a bit of camera shake even though I was using a tripod.

Thanks for looking,
Mick.

Mick, this is a nice shot, but I do agree with Pat (and your self) about the tree.
Although it is great that you managed to capture Luna Park, the Bridge and the Opera House all in one!

Hi all,
I'm quite new here and am making my way through the course. I'm also looking at the photos on the forums (especially the critique ones) to try to get some tips.
I wonder if it would help if the original poster included settings used for the photo so when we see the comments / critique we get a better view on how the original photo was taken.
Thanks.
Derek...

Nice shot. I too agree with Pat and Kaye. I maybe would have went in front of the tree. Looks like you may have fallen in the water had you taken one more step to the left :) Maybe try the picture again while lying under the tree. Nice shot though. I love the colours. I also feel from the picture that, that area of Sydney was full of laughter and entertainment.

Thanks everyone for all the comments so far.
I will post a new shot as soon as the weather permits.
I will also try to post additional images with the exif data intact once i figure out how to use linux software properly - got sick of windows crashing....

Cheers
Mick.
