Hi Pat and thank you for your comments.
I did this for someone I know and used Corel Painter.
This will be printed on a 36" wide canvas

Mark, this is very nice. I presume you photographed the painting and then added your expertise (eg the clouds)and other touches. I just love it.

I did try out your suggestions you sent me, for which I thank you, and tried to post a similar shot to your post "In Der Ferne". I put my FIRST try in Arts, named "My arty transition a la Kinetic"! I have since downloaded better clouds. It all takes practice.

The image above was a photo I took of the actual dog; I then started working on it to make it look more like a painting, not a photo of a painting then worked on.

I will have a look at what you did with the clouds in yours.
If the PDF I sent you got you off the ground with this technique then you will soon develop your own style, which I am sure you will do most eloquently.
