Very nice, being that I'm new here and dont do much editing, how do make your pictures look so soft. maybe thats not the right word. but looks great. Todd

Todd,
Thank you for the very nice compliment. I am by no means an authority on the subject of editing.....I have picked up so many tips on the forums right here
since the fall when I joined. I used the Orton effect on this photo to get the look
you are noticing.....you can read tons about it by doing a Google search on the
Orton effect, or you can also try searching the forums here.
It is done by creating a very light version of the image and a blurred (Gaussian)
version of the image and combining the two and selecting the Multiply mode.
It takes some practice to get used to, and there are many members here who are
way more skilled at the whole process than I.
I'm glad you liked the photo!

Kaye,
Thank you so much. Not a gum tree but I'm so glad that you like it.
Every time I use one of these borders I think of your Waterlillies.
And I owe you many thanks for your advice about trying Photoshop. I just love it.
Sandy, you have learned so much since you started on PS, and so quickly. I'm sure your brain is a lot younger than mine!!

Kaye,
I don't know about my brain, (best not to), but I do know that I have been avoiding
the high tech world around me, so I am making up for it now.
Thanks again for being such an inspiration.
