Thanks Doug,
My daughter named him "Big Eyes". I wonder why! He was so cute, but we only got to have him as our pet for a month or two, as he was not well. My daughter works for a vet, and now brings home all sorts of animals. At present we also have a "brush" Turkey in our bird aviary! He will have to be let go in the wild soon.

Kaye - lovely photo, he seems a real cutie. Been away for a bit but hopefully I will get back into the swing of things. :)

Thanks Denise. Good to have you back.

Elaine, thank you also. I will attach a "bad" shot of the brush turkey. He is only young, quite ugly! and is just getting the "red" head and the "yellow" thingy that grows around its neck. Tried to take these through the holes in the chicken wire + he kept moving.
Elaine I just deleted the two shots I put in this morning and am attaching a couple of clearer shots of my ugly Brush Turkey! He is currently living with our budgies.

Hi Elaine,
Thanks again, but it is nearly time for the turkey to go back to nature. He was found without a mum, so we have looked after and fed him for a while now. It is very difficult finding worms, caterpillars, moths, centipedes, etc all the time. Some of his favourite menus are: ham, black grapes, beetroot! It has been fun, but time consuming.

Hi Kaye

If you lived nearer would love to help out with the Nature Diet have plenty here and the Chickens love the same.
You should be Sad to release him/her but very Proud of what you have all acheived.
Maybe you could start a New Theme rescued Animals ? Good luck with the release and hope all goes well xx

It would be good to be able to keep track of his whereabouts after releasing him, as we will never know whether he survives in the wild. Thanks for your help Elaine.
