I like this one as well. I tried to take a close up of a bee and almost got stung! Maybe I'll try a zoom lens instead! lol

Thanks! That's precisely why I used the zoom for this shot. I did, however, get brave a little later and brought out the macro lens. I'm still experimenting and they didn't come out too well.

I'll keep mucking about until I can sell a few more things on eBay to pay for the course and learn to do things properly. :D

I love all of these bee shots. The colours are beautiful, you guys are really good. i especially like the bee inside the flower and you can just see its bum, how cute, hehe. I dont have an SLR but I do have all the manual options on my camera. Can I take pictures as good as these with just using the macro option on my camera or can it only be this close and clear with a macro lens on an SLR.:confused:

I don't have a DSLR but, if you have that macro button/option, you shouldn't need a lens until you want try something like this:
