Hi All, I have a Canon T1i. The camera has a couple of grids (i.e. rule of thirds...) which can be displayed in Live View or Movie Mode. I've poured over the instruction manual and I can't find any indication that the grid can be displayed when I'm looking through the viewfinder. Does anyone know if this is possible? I'm trying to do better with composition, keeping horizons straight, etc. and it seems this grid would be handy if I could see it through the viewfinder too...am I just missing how to do it? Thank you very much.

I wouldn't think you could see it in the viewfinder, Hannah. For a level horizon a quick glance at the sides of the viewfinder to ensure the horizon meets the edge at the same height on both sides might be your only option.
I tend not to use the optical viewfinder at all.

You can engage the composition lines in Liveview if you T1i has it, I think it does. I know it does help with not being in the viewfinder, but when you HAVE to have it, maybe switch to liveview.
