I dont know about a wasp waltz, it looks like one is going to attact the other. Great shot Gary.

However, they look nothing like the wasps we have here in the UK and before you ask, it is doubtful that I will ever take a photo of them as I am petrified of them:eek:

Maybe on the longes zoom lens I have, but I tend to run a mile if they come near me.

Thanks, all.

Actually, I was protected and at a distance. I took it from inside the house through a closed window. It was taken with my old Z740 at max zoom range (digital zoom too) which accounts for the picture quality. I still find it an interesting capture, though.

Given those circumstances it is a brilliant capture!

Well, there I was minding my own business tonight, replying to messages on here and suddenly, I noticed something moving in the room.

ARRRRRRRRGgggggghhhhhhhh, I said, there's a wasp in my living room. I went into the kitchen, fetched a towel, and the wasp spary, and finally managed to catch the thing. Boy was I shaking after. I just know I am not going to sleep right tonight.

Thanks, Jon. I'd be worried if they were cromagnon-ish! heh

I see what you mean, Andy. Insidious looking creature. Funny - I don't recall seeing any when we lived in England. But, then... I'm old. Anything past 48 hours and it's gone. ;)

Well, that would go a long way in explaining your aversion to 'em. Not that you need to... ;)
