My new "Arty / Beachy" site, still with some flowers!

Hi all, (This site is new and I do need to work on it a lot yet...)

Site address: http://www.wwwbeachnsand.blogspot.com (Sorry there are so many wwwwwww's, but this is what I ended up with, and did not want to redo all).


I have learned so much from being a member of Proud, and decided to have a go at a different type of site (or blog) with beachy style scenes, shells, flowers, etc.
Just want to go "tropical" as I have always loved tropical scenery and the palm type shots taken on tropical islands. I did live in Noumea once, and had I been interested in photography then, I could have had some magnificent scenery.

I am also experimenting with the look of different frames according to the scene/colour, and would like to give a thank you to Mark (Kinetic) for his assistance and knowledge in this area.

I don't have a lot of time at present, and would like to shoot a much nicer photo as MY HEADER PHOTO at some stage.
I do have others, but limited in size for a header photo, as this alters the whole site settings when too large.

One day, when my images are good enough, I would like to approach some local stores who sell these types of scenes for a big dollar, most of which are not half as good as what most Proud members can do.

Is that you on your own now or still with Jose? he has also some remarkable photo,s we visited Portugal In April and it was Gorgeous just got to get to Australia next.

This one, (beach n sand) is on my own as are Flower Magic and Rose Magic. Only the one "kayeandjose" is with Jose.
It is a pity you could not have made contact with him whilst in Portugal, as he is also a Proud member, but does not comment often as he thinks his English is not good enough.

You MUST let me know if you are coming to Australia (Sydney anyway). It would be fun to meet and go out and get some shots.

Would love to come to Australia but it won't be this year.
Spoke to Jose before going to Portugal a few times but unfortunately we were a little to far to meet plus personal matters.

Just nipped back on and it all looks lovely let you know more once I can spend the time Exploring.:)

Kaye, your images ARE good enough!! I would be very proud of all these photos. It's an excellent way to showcase your work. I also think the framing works really well. Excellent shots. I really love the 'Floating Frangipani' Is this a project you're still working on?? I look forward to any new additions.

I really agree with your comment about the high standard of so many of the photos on PP, yours included. When you feel ready don't be afraid to approach these stores.

Thanks Denise, you are too kind. I have purposely set up my several blogs to easily enable me to show others my work over the internet without the cost of blowing up shots to view. All I have to do is give them the address. Just need to seek out the right places, but always too busy.
I think you saw my Floating Frangipani in my Thread on Sea Shells... and I did say that I wanted to take some flowers to the beach to take shots of them floating, but again too busy. This is still on my agenda... sometime when I have time.

Shirley, I really appreciate your comment. I am also glad to hear your opinion on the frames, and I just could not help myself adding my floral touch to these shots.
There is a store in Sydney called "Seaweed and Sand" and they sell very similar shots framed in cheap timber frames, but painted to look the part. I would just like my shots to be in these frames. It may take time, but I will certainly try.

The hard part is having enough confidence in some of my shots to make any approaches. I would like to build up a bit more of a "bank" of shots first in this site.

It is funny that when you responded to this, I don't think I had downloaded my last post on my site, which I called "Sound Waves". Something this morning told me to name it this. (Due to the shell I think.... as you put it up to your ear and listen)

I just checked again and initially, it did not show up. However, once I signed in, it was there. Strange...
