I don't know where to begin describing this one, so I won't even try......from a photo I took today.

Absolutely beautiful Sandy. I just love the colours, but would love to know how you did this ??
Are they soap bubbles in the air with the amazing reflection in them ?

Thanks Kaye and Eddie!! I so appreciate your comments, and Yes Kaye, this started out as a photo of a large bubble. I was trying to create a scene with bubbles against the sky for a photo contest/theme- "Escaping Gravity".....this one was trapped against the house and since it wasn't moving, it was one of the only shots that came out.
My first thought when I saw it was "Oh, too bad.....(with all the dark lines from the house in the background), but I couldn't give up on it with those reflections in the bubble!

I selected out the background and used polar coordinates on it to break up the lines of the house and this is what happened! The colors in the bubble are unedited, I just duplicated it and created the 2nd bubble in the upper left. I brightened the bubble a bit with the Equalizer adjustment.

Hi Sandy…you know… sometimes, something just comes along out of nowhere and has an instant impact on us for me your photograph has had just that effect.
Great Art work demands us to turn our heads and have another look…something in it that just attracts, for me this photograph dose just that.

This is in every respect a piece of unique contemporary art and would be right at home in any contemporary art gallery / exhibition.
It looks like a glass sculpture… I am glad it is not as it would then be a photo of someone else’s work.
The fact that you set it up makes it yours both photographically and in subject…it is unique in that you could never repeat it exactly… that to me makes it even more appealing.
If I viewed this hanging in a gallery I would have no hesitation in purchasing it for my home, and the bigger it was the better.
Fantastic piece of work Sandy

This is very cool Sandy. Until I read your reply I didn't have a clue what I was looking at, which is great as the imagination can just take over.

Hi Elaine,
I think I am going to enter it in a different category for Abstract later this summer.
Thanks so much for your encouragement, it means a lot.

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for that great comment!! The best part about this project was the low cost for supplies.....$1.18 for the bottle of bubbles....and you can take them anywhere!

Hi Mark,
I am overwhelmed that this photo has made such an impression. Thank you so much for your thoughts and your support. I will remember these words of yours,
and the confidence they inspire.

OMG - how did you take that shot? Not asking to reveal your secrets... just saying.

Hi Doug,
Thank you for commenting! There are no big secrets at all with this one....It is a photograph of a bubble....I was trying to get a photo of bubbles against the sky, but the wind was too strong except for this one big bubble that was trapped against the house, not moving. I was able to get a couple of shots of this one before it broke, and almost trashed it because of the dark lines in the background
(from the side of the house).....then I created a new layer with the bubble, and
used the polar coordinates filter on the background to break up the lines in the house, and duplicated the bubble to add the second partial bubble in the upper left. The reflections in the bubble are just as they were in the original, unedited.
