One of the things I miss about warm weather are my roses. C'mon Spring!!

Why, thank you. I miss them already. I just took up gardening about 3 years ago. Another "hobby"! Actually, it sprang from need more than anything else. We had our house built and the landscaping was garbage. Something had to be done, so I did it.

Beautiful Pic Garry, Very nice detail in the middle rose.
I was hoping my rose would grow like that but it grew and grew but didnt have any flowers on it! Like you, I can't wait till summer comes again as I have planted some new plants which should look beautiful.

Garry, what settings did you use for that pic? Was any extra light used or was it just nateral light? Was this taken on a macro setting?
Just wondering as I love the way the background is blured and I tried to do it today with my flower, but couldnt get it to work right.

I used a slave flash and went into macro setting (no extra macro lens though). It was taken in "auto" as that was before I had the nerve to go into "manual" mode.
The depth of field is auto. HOWEVER, I did PP it through Picasa to get the frosted effect.
