Hi Everyone, i'm new to this so forgive me if this a silly question, but I was wondering is editing of your submission for POTM allowed or does it have to be the original image taken with no edits? Thanks

Hi tjev,

We are pretty free and easy here. Editing is allowed, so look forward to you joining in the the new competition open now for photos with the theme - No Flash Indoor Photography.

Newb here to the forum and didn't want to start a new thread for something that would be in this same topic. For the POTM contests, am I correct in assuming that the images need to be taken during the current month of the contest? So for next month would my image need to be taken between Nov 1st and the 23rd?

I know some forums are like this, while others are not. Just want to make sure before posting anything here and having it wrong.

Here is the rules section:

The image you enter doesn't have to be taken during the run of that months contest.

Thank you, Joseph. I had found the rules, but noticed that all the photos in the contests I looked through seemed to be taken during the same month, so I didn't know if it was one of those unwritten rules or a preference of the forum.

Thanks again, I look forward to looking around a bit more.
